Reagan “Peanut” Schmitz is in her 1st season with the Georgia Impact. Reagan joined us after previously playing for a nationally ranked 2027 Hot shots team. Reagan was recognized by Line Drive media as number 32 overall on 2024. In a 134 plate appearances with the Hot Shots last season Reagan posted a .425 AVG. O’Neal is quoted saying: “Peanut is a a player you hate to play against but love having on your team”. As a slapper she has true instinct and a rare skill that allows her to put the ball where needed depending the situation. Reagan can power slap, beat it in the ground, or leg out a bunt at any time. Reagan had a great fall with the impact as she posted a .417 AVG in 55 plate appearances along with a .491 OBP. Reagan’s speed and situational knowledge make her extremely dangerous on the bases. Defensively Reagan is a plus infielder and outfielder and can play both at high level.
With her equal ability in both the OF and IF, combined with her offensive skill set, Coach Chad O’Neal is expecting big things from Reagan this summer! Reagan is actively in the recruiting process and has been to Fl State, Auburn, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, UTC Chattanooga, Ole Miss, and LSU amongst others.
