Recruiting
When emailing college coaches, athletes should keep messages clear, personalized, and purposeful. Include essential details like graduation year, position, GPA, and a link to highlight video or recruiting profile. Mention why you’re interested in their program specifically, and always end with a call to action—such as inviting them to watch you play or asking about upcoming camps. Consistency and professionalism go a long way in making a strong impression.

FAQ's
Who do I include in the email when I am emailing colleges?
It's best to include all the staff. In most cases, one of the assistant coaches on staff is in charge of 'recruiting efforts', it's not typically the head coach to begin with. So it's always best to include all the Coaching staff in your emails
Where do I find coaches email addresses?
Generally email addresses can be found on the Athletic website for the college, under Coaching Staff.
We have also collected a number of emails and X user names for college coaches and staff on our College-Connects page. https://www.georgiaimpact.org/college-connections
I never receive any responses back from coaches when I email, is it really worth it?
Yes, it is. According to NCAA guidelines regarding when colleges can communicate with potential recruits, you typically won't get a response. However, the goal isn't to receive a reply; it's to demonstrate your interest in the college and begin establishing name recognition. By sending regular emails, coaches may recognize you when you attend one of their camps. Consider this a long-term strategy, as immediate results are unlikely.
